Jim Adams questions vote on funding Planned Parenthood

Executive Council District 4 Candidate Jim Adams is asking why a Planned Parenthood contract that was defeated last summer is being voted on again? The latest not-for-profit filling for Planned Parenthood of New England indicates that they are awash with money.

See page 28:

According to this filing, Planned Parenthood reported $20 million in operating revenue and a $1 million per year lobbying effort. “There are many other avenues regarding health screening etc. that women can utilize in NH through area Hospitals that NH-HHS can authorize which will be just as effective”, said Adams.

Adams also feels the $565,000 could be used to help in the Mental Health arena or on drug addiction and Rehab treatments.

The contract has already been defeated once before.

Adams asks that voters call or email their Executive Councilor and the Governor and ask why this issue is back on the agenda.
